The Oxford Test of English for Schools has been developed for learners aged between 12 and 16. Available online through a network of Approved Test Centres, the tests assess understanding and communication across three levels of the CEFR: A2, B1 and B2 (Oxford Test of English and Oxford Test of English for Schools) and C1 and B2 (Oxford Test of English Advanced). Developed by Oxford University Press and certified by the University of Oxford, the tests are designed by a team of education, language, and assessment experts. Independent of any curriculum or course, the Oxford Test of English provides results that universities, employers, and professional bodies can trust. Read executive summary Accepted by the Immigration Service Delivery, Department of Justice, Ireland as meeting entry visa English Language requirements The Oxford Test of English is accepted to meet English language requirements for study entry visas. Students who require an entry visa to study in Ireland can submit their certificate as part of their visa application. Included in the ILEP (Interim List of Eligible Programmes) list of English language proficiency test providers for study in Ireland The ILEP lists the courses which are open to students studying in Ireland for more than 90 days. It incorporates English language programmes of at least 25 weeks duration which lead to a recognised English proficiency test, including the Oxford Test of English.
