Ulla Fürstenberg

Ulla Fürstenberg

Ulla Fürstenberg is a senior lecturer in the Department of English Studies at the University of Graz, Austria, where she teaches English language and ELT methodology classes. Her research interests include the integration of content and language in higher education and (teacher) language awareness, which is the focus of the LEAP Interface project for student teachers of English. The project has been running at the University of Graz for several years and focuses on teaching English as a global language. Ulla has taught professional development courses on teaching in English for lecturers at different universities. She is a contributor to the Austrian coursebook series way2go! (published by öbv) for secondary schools. She is also the co-editor (with Jennifer Schumm Fauster) of English Language Teaching in Austria: from theory to the classroom and beyond (Graz University Library Publishing, 2023), a practical guide and reference for English language teachers. Ulla is a lead author on this paper.

Jennifer Schumm Fauster

Jennifer Schumm Fauster

Jennifer Schumm Fauster is senior lecturer of EFL, teacher educator and the academic coordinator of the Master’s and European Joint Master’s Programme in English and American Studies at the University of Graz, Austria. Throughout her career, she has taught EFL/ESP at various institutions of higher education and adult education. She is also an educator in professional development for English language teachers. Jennifer is co-editor (with Ulla Fürstenberg) and contributor of the practical guide and reference book for English language teachers: English Language Teaching in Austria: From theory to the classroom and beyond (Graz University Library Publishing, 2023). Her research interests include using young adult literature in the language classroom, intercultural communication, writing skills in EFL and professional development in ELT. Jennifer is a lead author on this paper.
