Catherine Walter

Catherine is a teacher educator, researcher and materials developer. With Michael Swan, she is the author of numerous English language teaching books, most recently the award-winning Oxford English Grammar Course. Catherine is an Emeritus Fellow in Applied Linguistics at the University of Oxford and a UK Higher Education National Teaching Fellow. Her research interests include pedagogical grammar and second language reading; she has a special interest in the teaching and learning of students with disabilities. Catherine is a past President of IATEFL and remains active in the association. She is the Chair of the British Council’s English Language Advisory Group.
