Naomi Simmons has been a full time author of books to teach English to young children for 20 years, and is currently the lead author of Family and Friends, one of OUP’s best-selling international primary courses.

She holds a BSc (Econ) Hons from the University of Wales and a Master’s degree in publishing. In 2011, she was awarded the Honorary Master of Letters from the University of Hertfordshire in recognition of outstanding contribution to language education.

Naomi was presented to Her Majesty the Queen at Buckingham Palace for her contributions worldwide in promoting the English language. She contributes on issues relating to the teaching of English on the BBC World Service and BBC Radio 4.
