Jeff Cady graduated from Brown University in Rhode Island with a BA in Philosophy and from the Tokyo campus of Temple University of Philadelphia with a Master's degree in TEFL. He currently teaches ESL at the College of Marin in Marin County, and at the Sonoma State (University) American Language Institute. He also tutors a small group of mathematicians at the Fair Isaac Company in San Rafael. He first started teaching in Paris, France many years ago, while living upstairs at Shakespeare and Company on the left bank. Until 6 years ago, he was resident in Tokyo, Japan, teaching English at the Athenee Francais and at Seishin Joshidai (Seishin Women's University), having previously taught at Keio University's Shonandai campus in Kanagawa and for many years for the Fujitsu Computer Company and at several other Japanese corporations. He is co-author, with Roger Barnard, of Business Venture, published by Oxford University Press. He has also contributed to a number fo other ESL course materials, and has presented at several international TEFL conferences. He has lived in or visited more than 40 countries, and his interests include computers and outdoor sports.
